This product from Honeywell is the king of them all when it comes to power output (king of their own product line that is). This model produces 7000 continuous watts of power, with a reserve allowance of 2,375 for surge / max watts - bringing the total for surge to 9375. This is auspiciously close to 10,000 - and we think that's what Honeywell might have been going for, before settling on the unique 9375 figure, which admittedly is a slightly random wattage to achieve.
Nevertheless, as with all other Honeywell products, the energy produced is reliable and efficient.
Engine Details
Honeywell seem to have had a tough time generating the 9375 watts of power in this product. The engine is a 15 horsepower, 420cc rated motor - which is well above competitor motors able to produce approximately the same amount of power output.
It's hardly surprising that this engine blows the CARB compliance guidelines to smithereens - but when you look at it on a relative scale, it's not all that bad. Need we mention the 3 year limited warranty, which comes standard on all Honeywell products? Well - we might as well - because it does indeed apply to this model as well.
Onboard Technology
One of the good things about having an almighty powerful engine on board a home generator is that it almost forces the manufacturer to include bits of advanced technology to make it "consumer safe". That's exactly what we found on the Honeywell HW7500E.
Sometimes it's the small things that count - and in this model, you'll receive a myriad of tiny rewards. There's the 4 in 1 power cord, the highly detailed operational manual, and the 24/7 Honeywell support line for starters. Then, there are the indefatigable tires - which are apparently impossible to deflate. Finally, there's the heavy duty big bore engine construction - which makes this product a beast through and through.
Our Rating of Honeywell HW7500E Gas Powered Home Generator
To recap, the Honeywell HW7500E offers us 7500 rated watts via a 420cc, 15 horsepower engine. The product weighs 210 lbs, and has a fuel tank capacity of 6.5 gallons - enough to provide 7 hours of run time at 50% load.
Given these statistics, it would be a conspiracy if we were to award the HW7500E anything less than 5 stars. This product represents and reflects the vast number of hours of research that the manufacturer has gone to, to ensure that this model is loved by consumers far and wide. As usual - they have achieved that in fine form.
