ETQ IN800I Digital Inverter Generator Review

The ETQ IN800I is by far the smallest home generator we have ever laid our eyes on. Producing just 750 running watts of electricity at full bore - this product hardly produces enough energy to power your home computer alone.

However, for those with a use for this type of product - will the ETQ brand shine through as it often does, or is this a model with is quickly set to fail? We put it to the test in a number of different scenarios, and are now ready to offer our opinion.

ETQ IN800I Digital Inverter Generator Specifications & Features

Power Output
As we already mentioned in our opening statement, the ETQ IN800I produces just 750 watts of continuous running power, and up to 800 watts of initial surge power - which is useful for appliances requiring a larger boost of electricity during their start up.

Of course - given that the average American home needs a whopping 5000 to 7000 watts of energy at any given time just to run the bare essential household items - you're far from a comprehensive generator with this product. If, on the other hand, you are simply looking to power a single item with a generator, the ETQ IN800I could indeed be perfect!

Engine Details
Producing 750 watts is surprisingly easy these days, even though that would have been a premium electricity production level a decade or so ago. In the case of the ETQ IN800I - the power source is the 3.4 horsepower engine, which to be more specific - is a 4 stroke, air cooled OHV engine.

ETQ intelligence is built right in to the engine - as a low oil shut off mechanism is included - and will prevent your generator from going up in smoke if you forget to check the oil level. Additionally, a 0.48 gallon fuel tank is included (obviously), and this will allow you to run the generator for 3 and a half hours at 50% load.

Onboard Technology
Given the fact that the ETQ IN800I is an inexpensive, compact home generator, with just 750 watts of running power, you probably shouldn't expect the world when it comes to on board technology.

In saying this, probably the most exciting notable feature of the product is the smart automatic throttle, which alters the engine speed to relate to the amount of power being demanded from the system. For example, if a connected appliance only requires 300 watts of power, the smart throttle will slow the engine down so it is producing just a little bit more than this - which results in fuel savings and huge efficiency.

Our Rating of ETQ IN800I Digital Inverter Generator
For its size and price, the ETQ IN800I is definitely a smart addition to any household looking to make their power supply more reliable. Don't forget the specifications of this machine though. You certainly won't be able to power large devices or too many devices at the same time, so if you are looking to make your entire home power supply a redundant one - look elsewhere.

But considering its target market and elegant design, the ETQ IN800I surely gets a firm 5 stars from us. This is just another exceptional ETQ product, and we genuinely liked what we saw during our product trial.
