Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 Watt Gas Powered Generator Review

Over the years, Briggs & Stratton have provided consumers with home generators at the top end of both the performance and price spectrum. The company has made a name for itself by featuring incredible advancements in technology in their products, whilst maintaining contact with their customers, and providing excellent return and warranty facilities.

The Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 is another member of the "Elite" range - although we must say it's probably the most basic of the family. This generator will be great for families with average power needs, or those who do not plan to use the generator often. We've included more information about this product below.

Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 Watt Generator Specifications & Features

Power Output
The name of the Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 is a little misleading - but if you know your home generators, you'll know why this is. It all comes down to power output, and the level of constant energy that you will be able to utilize with the machine running at full power.

In this case, the Elite 4800 does live up to its name in one area - that is, the maximum "surge" power allowance is 4800 watts, however this is not the constant production power of the machine. Interestingly, you'll only be able to use 3500 watts of power at any one time, as this is the level at which the machine produces energy during normal use.

Engine Details
The Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 employs the services of the on board motor, which happens to be a 6.5 horsepower, gasoline powered engine. Unfortunately, this product is non-CARB compliant, however during our testing, we have well and truly come to the conclusion that just because the machine doesn't meet the CARB criteria, it doesn't mean that it's inefficient.

Onboard Technology
As the Briggs & Stratton company proudly states on their product advertisement page, they have been in the business of selling home generators for 100 years now - which is great for consumers wishing to benefit from innovative thinking and high rating performance.

This particular model from the company has all the special extras that have become standard with Briggs & Stratton products, such as the heavy duty interior engine construction, the wide spectrum of outlets, and the intelligent functioning of the engine. Tech lovers will be sure to find something to talk about when it comes to the Elite 4800.

Our Rating of Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 Watt Gas Powered Generator
Once again, the Briggs & Stratton Elite 4800 ranks highly in our books, scoring a 5 star rating not only for efficiency and performance, but also for design and thinking. The company has clearly targeted this product at the mid-range consumer, who is looking to cover their back in the case of a power cut or failure - but not wanting to spend a fortune or buy an unnecessarily over-the-top device with all the bells and whistles.

All we can say is "keep up the good work"! Let's hope for even more exciting product launches from Briggs & Stratton in the future.
